My dad went here as a college kid at CSUN and introduced it to me at a young age. I don’t live anywhere near here anymore but I go out of my way to grab a sandwich anytime I am remotely close. Can’t go wrong with a ham and cheese with the tomato salsa. I consider myself a sandwich snob and this is my favorite sandwich in the whole world. Added bonus—everyone that works there is warm and inviting and treats you like family.

My Hero has sandwich shop has been around since 1964! That's right, since The Beatles played on The Ed Sullivan Show! So it was time to check them out! I ordered a "My Hero Special" which is like your classic italian. It was really good. They pot a tomato salad on all their sandwiches. They were very nice. It's affordable. I wish they had a deal that included a bag of chips and a drink. That's where things started to add up. Still not too bad. Ask for mayo, lettuce, onions and pickles added to your sandwich, all at no additional cost. Plenty of parking! They have three tables and a large counter with stools. They do have a high chair! They were very fast too! A great place if you want to grab a quick lunch that isn't fast food.

What can I say? This place has been serving subs since 1964. Old school vibe. Prices are nice. The #1 is on point and the most popular menu itwn since forever. I would much rather go to a Mom & Pop place verses a chain. Two six inch sandwiches plus a small drink was $21.

Simple but delicious sandwiches. Don't come here looking for fancy. Come here looking for solid. The rolls are fresh and soft. You might be tempted to use them as pillows. The topping adds just the right amount of zest.

I am a sandwich girly, and this place was so yummy I could cry the turkey was high quality, the bread was soft and chewy and all the ingredients were fresh. The tomato salad is just as good as what I have heard. The ambience is old school and that’s part of the character of the store. It reminds me of my childhood and I feel like a kid. It’s a homey warm feeling. I also had never been there before and I had two sweet ladies help me. Great good, great environment, and great service.

Sub-Sandwich was fresh and delicious, have seen this place for some time now, glad I finally made it in. Price was also reasonable. I'll be recommending this to family and friends.

Nicely toasted sandwiches. Good tomato salad FYI no coffee or tea served. Only non sugar drink is BRISK fountain Iced Tea.
